   I get the feeling that you would love to live in a castle. May not be an unusual perspective but you have got the colour scheme to work (reds, greens and brick work). Brings back memories of walking round there when I was little for a day pretending I was the princess who owned it.

      I really enjoyed visiting Windsor Castle and the town of Windsor is interesting. It’s very easy to reach from London by train. Enjoy!

   Oh my! I’m imagining I’m Juliet standing on that castle and my Romeo comes tumbling over just to get a glance of me… Well, this photo perhaps, just fits for a Princess, like me??? I think I said it wrongly… Lol
   Anyways, it’s a beautiful photo and it makes everyone here pondering for a story to fit it…Hahaha! Cheers!

    Just read your comments. Isn’t it strange how people from different parts of the world view castles? I’m from England, the whole of the UK is packed with castles. Every year, at least one school trip would be to a castle and every summer holiday with my parents, we would visit a castle – because there was always one nearby and it was something to do. I do like castles, but, they’re just castles – maybe we just taken them for granted in the UK. We get excited about different buildings in Turkey and our Turkish friends just bat us off – it’s boring for them. 🙂

       That’s a really interesting point, Julia. I haven’t seen nearly enough castles to take them for granted. They all seem so different to me, too — at least the ones I’ve seen or hope to see yet.

    I love castles. Just read turkeysforlife comment and will you believe this: one of my favorites is in Turkey: Bodrum castle. My imagination runs riot in a castle, I can never bypass one.

       I think you hit on it, Inka. You can imagine a lot of different stories in castles, real or fairy tales. Like any places with a history, you wonder about what life was like there in other times.

    I agree, this castle is very majestic looking and looks very befitting for a queen. I think my favorite castle ( if I had to choose) would be Edinburgh Castle, absolutely lovely and a fantastic tour as well!

    Nice perspective looking majestically upwards!

    Castles remind me of fairy tales rather than history. My favourite is Chateau d’Ussé in France, the Sleeping beauty castle – it evokes romance!
